Drunken Peasants TheAmazingAtheist Review By Brett Keane
Christians and Atheists will disappoint you. They all suck. My advice is go straight to God. Cut out the middleman. - By Brett Keane

Unfortunately I was hour late. Had emergency situation. We talked about my issues with evolution and many other things. We will deal with topics and why I responded as I did.
Not all scientists believe in Evolution. There is enough people in this world that question it which is healthy. I have a problem with believing I am the result of a fish, primate, rat like creature. I also wonder why in the origin of mankind why we had the life recipe and blue print in the first place. As did Darwin below.

The question of whether there exists a Creator and Ruler of the Universe has been answered in the affirmative by some of the highest intellects that have ever existed.”
–Charles Darwin, the founder of evolutionary biology, as cited in his book Descent of Man.
“Another source of conviction in the existence of God, connected with the reason and not with the feelings, impresses me as having much more weight. This follows from the extreme difficulty or rather impossibility of conceiving this immense and wonderful universe, including man with his capacity of looking far backwards and far into futurity, as the result of blind chance or necessity. When thus reflecting I feel compelled to look to a First Cause having an intelligent mind in some degree analogous to that of man; and I deserve to be called a Theist.”
Charles Darwin, the founder of evolutionary biology, as quoted in his autobiography.

One of my examples I question is how did the first organism that arrived on the scene had reproduction ability already installed into it's main frame. 2nd why did nature give us a nervous system and ability to feel pain. Why would nature create pleasure in sex? Did it know we needed arousal to pop a woody for sex? How did we manage to stay compatible male and female for millions to billions of years. I could go on all day about my many questions. Yes, I've googled and the internet is filled to the brim with claims that I myself can't report as true. I'm a lamen not scientist. Never been in a lab to test any of the claims. Neither has most Atheists.
DP questioned me about denying evolution. I deny it until the facts are observed not because I have an agenda. I understand the claims. I don't consider cartoons and cgi on tv as a valid demonstration of it working. But we all know they just simply want me to look foolish. So they questioned and when I attempted to answer I would get called stupid and they would finish the narration for me. If this is how science works then I can see no value in claims. Insult people when they question never answers the points.
Our biggest contention was my view on God and my perception of his actions in the bible. DP does not realize I'm not like other believers they've experienced. I believe God can be found in all holy books and literature. I believe mankind has written these texts to explain the limited understanding and experiences with an intelligent designer. King David from Paul may declare God is all love or perfect. This does not mean Brett Keane shares the same revelation or experience. Basically I believe there's more to God than the bible. In fact when Atheists claim which religion is true my response is everyone of them to an extent. God resides in the soul of man and the universe. Therefore it is logical to assert he has been involved with mankind in all beliefs every step of the way? Mankind describes interaction the best he possibly can. This is the very foundation of theology and philosophy.
It is possible to love God yet be angry with him about things he did or didn't do. Countless Christians cry to God when innocents die or a loved one. Countless Muslims pray that God interacts in some way to help them with resolve and closure. In a sense this is disagreeing with God's will and actions which I believe he designed us to do. He designed our brain and gave us the power to have our own will. Free will. So does God make us be bad. By knowing does this mean he made us sin? My point was to DP is our parents knew things that would most likely happen to us even when we were still in the womb. Example - They knew we may find love one day. They knew we might suffer in some form. Life is full of pain. As you can see knowing and making people do things does not correlate. This did not make sense to DP. People can read up on compatibilism which is my position on God and his wisdom to know us yet still allow freedom of choice.
2nd issue. I believe a majority of the bible to be based on facts. But I also know Jesus was a teacher who told stories to make a deeper more easily understood point with primitive men. The bible is history and admits to using metaphor for lessons. It's how humans communicate experiences. Jesus explains himself on this issue as does many believers since the dawn of time but DP simply wanted to have me admit on show that it somehow contradicts itself. The age old question. Is God contradictory? Why does God instruct men not to kill then tells men to kill. Did you know our government tells us it's a crime to kill but it's good to kill in the event of self defense or military? Of course you know this.
Society says it's wrong to lie. But we can all agree we will do it if Nazi's are beating on the door and we got Jews in the basement. God does not say our intentions make it any less a sin but he knows our hearts. He knows we are weak. God says the hearts of men are evil. This brings us to moral problems though as we discussed on DP.
Did God design morality. Yes. So how does morality work? God put right and wrong into our design. Our bodies will inform us we're messing up. Guilt is not meant to hurt us. It is God telling you you've done bad whether you believe good can come from it or not.
I could tell in the past Thomas Kirk was grieved by causing me harm. It bothered him to watch me suffer. But he also on another note continued his behavior towards me. Did God make him be bad or good? No. God simply gave him the power to feel and choose. Yes, God knew what he would do and why he did it. But knowing and making are two different things.
I believe in the bible but I disagree with some of God's actions. I understand the reasoning but it doesn't make me condone certain things. Example - I could never go into a town and kill children even if they were rabid violent monsters. If I had the unfortunate experience of it's me or them scenario then I would kill if pushed. But I would not be ok or fine with it. Although I disagree with nasty verses or God's choices...this in no way equals I love him less or convince myself to disrespect him. In fact I'm open enough to say I might be wrong. Maybe God played out the best and optimal decision based on his understanding of the future. Never forget that the bible encourages us to question and grow.
I'll write more soon on my DP review and what we discussed. I have a splitting headache at moment.
